How do I contact the League?

When and where are games played?
Usually on Saturdays and we play mostly on the local (Reno) high school fields. There is some travel possible. Our furthest locations would be Fernley, Fallon, or Susanville.   

Who do I contact regarding Officials or Coaches?
Questions regarding Officials and Football coaches should email fbdirector@gosyfl.com

Who do I contact regarding Game Schedules or Times?
The game schedule will be posted on the site as soon as it becomes available, which usually is not until mid-August. The first game of the season is typically in late August. The regular season runs 9 consecutive weeks followed by playoffs and championships (3 more consecutive weeks). 

Where can I get additional Forms?
Website, Coaches, Team Managers, and Area Coordinators.

Who do I contact if I have a concern or complaint?
Notify representatives in the following order: Team Manager, Head Coach, Area Coordinator, Board of Directors. If the situation has escalated past the Head Coach and/or Area Coordinator, please submit your complaint in writing to the Executive Board.

What is the leagues positional structure?
Commissioner, Vice Commissioner, Secretary, Treasurer, Cheer Director, and Football Director. Additionally each camp has a cheer and or a football area coordinator, team managers, head coaches, and assistant coaches.  There are also numerous committees available to volunteers looking to get involved. All positions are on a voluntary basis and are available for any to apply at the end of the season or term.

Do you offer a flag football division?
We are launching our new 7 vs 7 Spring of 2021

What’s the difference between SYFL and other youth football leagues?
Sierra Youth Football takes pride in being a direct feeder program for local high schools.  We also don’t exclude children who are bigger than others. All kids of the same age will have an opportunity to compete with their peers.  In addition, a custom jersey with your child’s last name is included in the registration cost if playing football.
